England’s exit from the Euro 2012 football tournament might be bad news for football fans – but it’s good news for the UK’s tourism industry, with a post-knockout surge in bookings being reported by the UK’s biggest self-catering operator. Hoseasons has reported a huge increase in bookings in the three days following England’s exit on penalties at the hands of Italy, with bookings up by more than 16% on the same week last year, and by 13.6% against the same three days last week.

Delta Expands World's Largest Wi-Fi-Equipped Fleet to Include International Aircraft

Delta Air Lines will begin offering in-flight Internet service on its long-haul international fleet of more than 150 aircraft, which includes Boeing 777, 767, 747, Airbus 330 and transoceanic Boeing 757 aircraft in early 2013.

Estonian Air most popular summer destination is Paris

The most popular summer destination among Estonian Air passengers is Paris, followed by Nice and Tbilisi. 

In June, the load factor of Paris route is 90%, the number of passengers have increased by 72% compared to the same period in the previous year. Number of seats offered has increased by 40%.

Southern Pacific Resource Corp. completes arrangements to transport and market bitumen via CN to the U.S. Gulf Coast

Southern Pacific Resource Corp. announced completion of a long-term arrangement to transport its bitumen to the U.S. Gulf Coast via the rail network of CN. Under this arrangement, Southern Pacific expects to significantly increase its plant gate bitumen netback using rail transportation that reduces diluent costs, and offers access to Brent-based pricing as opposed to selling its bitumen into a pipeline that offers access to West Texas Intermediate (WTI) based pricing.

Bombardier Wins Order for Propulsion and Control Equipment for Dongguan Rapid Railway R2 Line

Bombardier Transportation announced that together with New United Group (NU) it has signed a contract with CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. for the supply of BOMBARDIER MITRAC propulsion and control equipment. Bombardier will supply engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning as well as initial spare parts for the propulsion and control system of the new metro trains to be delivered by CSR Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. to Dongguan Rail Transit Co., Ltd.
