Barbados breaks 25-year-old record for tourist arrivals

BarbadosBreaking a 25-year-old record for the period, Barbados registered 171,471 long-stay tourist arrivals in the first quarter.

“This was a very strong winter season. The Caribbean Tourism Organization has predicted a 5 percent increase in long-stay arrivals for the region for the entire year and we believe our performance in this first quarter bodes well for us to comfortably exceed that target,” Barbados Tourism Marketing, Inc. Chairman Alvin Jemmott said Thursday.
