Ireland Wins A ‘Best Travel Destination’ Award In China


2015Ireland has been named a ‘best travel destination’ in the world, at an awards ceremony in China earlier this week.
The annual awards are organised by Travel & Leisure magazine, an important bilingual travel publication with a circulation of about 550,000. Ireland was one of nine destinations listed in the “best travel destination” category during 2015 – in good company with Canada, Mauritius, Maldives, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Norway and Denmark, to take the number one spot!

ADB signs first-ever tourism project in Mongolia

Malaysia’s Sabah state restricts entry of 236 foreign tourists in 2015


MalaysiaAround 236 foreign tourists were barred from entering Malaysian state of Sabah last year, the Sabah state Immigration Department confirmed.
 
The rejection of entry to the individuals was based on the fact that they did not fulfil the conditions for entry as genuine tourists, Sabah state Immigration Department director Musa Sulaiman said.
